The Opportunity at Hall Place
Hall Place Equestrian Centre has been a pillar of the equestrian community since 1969. We are a very busy, serious, and professional riding school. Because of our continued growth and high reputation, we are looking for a solid, reliable, and high-caliber Head of Yard who wants to be rewarded for excellence.
Who You Are: A True Leader
This is not a role for someone who wants to be told what to do. We need a powerhouse leader who:
- Demonstrates Real Leadership: You lead the team by example. You know how to motivate staff, manage different personalities, and ensure every task is completed to our high standards.
- Absolute Reliability: In a busy school like ours, reliability is non-negotiable. You are the person the team leans on.
- Proactive & Decisive: You don't wait for small directions. You see a gap, you fill it. You stay two steps ahead of the yard’s needs at all times.
- Confident Instructor: You are as comfortable in the arena as you are in the stable, with the confidence to teach high-quality riding lessons to our clients whenever needed.
The Role & Schedule
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
- The Weekend: We value work-life balance; you are only required to work one day every weekend (with two days off during the week).
- Late Night: Includes one late-night shift during the week.
- Operations: Organizing the daily running of the yard, ensuring it is tidy, safe, and professional.
- Welfare: Overseeing the care of all riding school horses, liaising with vets/farriers, and managing injury protocols.
- Teaching: Delivering professional lessons to a variety of clients using your PTT/International qualifications.
